The rules of the game and exactly what we collect, in plain English. Last updated 7 October 2026.

The short version

  • Walking drops and shards are free. No purchase is needed to play or to win.
  • Cards are real graded cards held and tokenized by Collector Crypt; they are sent to your wallet, and Collector Crypt's own terms apply to redemption and sell-back.
  • We collect what the checks need (a short GPS log, motion readings, a door photo for drops, your network and wallet address) and nothing else. We never sell data.
  • Be safe, be a good guest at shops, and never trespass or break a law to reach a pin.

Playing

You must be 18 or over, or the age of majority where you live, to play. One person, one phone. Using GPS spoofing, emulators, scripts, multiple accounts or anything else to fake being somewhere is cheating: we may refuse claims, cancel unclaimed drops and block wallets, devices or networks that do it, without notice. Drops, shards, caps and prizes can change, and we can pause the game at any time, for example if a machine is down or abuse is detected. Where a claim fails before anything is paid, the drop goes back on the map; nothing is owed.

Prizes and cards

A drop is one sealed pack from Collector Crypt's gacha, bought from our vault at the moment you claim it and opened with their verifiable draw. We do not choose or know your card in advance. Cards are worth what the market says; the insured value shown is Collector Crypt's, not a promise of resale price. Redemption of the physical card, shipping, KYC and sell-back are services of Collector Crypt under their terms. Prizes are not exchangeable for cash from us. You are responsible for any taxes on what you win.

Safety and shops

Pins are placed at public addresses of shops and public places taken from OpenStreetMap. Shops are not partners unless we say so, and they owe you nothing. Never enter private property, roads or closed premises to reach a pin, never block doors, and leave if asked. Pay attention to your surroundings. You play at your own risk.

The token

$PACKS is a memecoin with no promise of value. Holding it is never required to play and does not change your odds. Holder payouts are paid from the vault as described on the holders page, only while there is money in the holders' bucket, and the rules can change with notice posted on the site. Nothing here is financial advice. Do not buy what you cannot afford to lose.

Rip a pack

Ripping is optional and paid with your own USDC. Packs are sold and opened by Collector Crypt; the price, odds, expected value and buyback rate shown are theirs, read live from their machines. Expected value is an average, not a guarantee: most packs return less than they cost. Only rip what you are happy to spend. Where Collector Crypt pays us a partner fee, it comes out of the pack's expected value and goes to the vault.

A sponsored drop is a pack someone else paid to hide, with a short message. Sponsors pay the pack price plus a platform fee shown before payment. A sponsored drop stays on the map for 72 hours; if nobody claims it, the pack money stays in the vault and funds future drops, and is not refunded. Messages must not contain links, ads for other products, hate, harassment or anything illegal; we remove ones that do, without refund.

Raids

A raid opens only if the number of check-ins shown on the map is reached inside its window. If it is not, nothing is owed to anyone who came. One winner is drawn as described on the How it works page; the draw cannot be changed once the blockhash is taken. Raids are in crowded public places: keep to the pavement, mind your belongings, follow any instruction from the police or the venue, and never go anywhere you would not go without the game. We can cancel or move a raid for safety at any time.

The clue hunt is always in a public square. Do not search private property, gardens, shops or anywhere closed to the public, do not dig, climb or move anything, and do not disturb other people. Nothing is buried or physically hidden: the prize is sent to your wallet once your phone passes the check on the spot. The first valid check wins; we do not split or re-award a hunt.

Swaps

A swap is an agreement between two players. We build the transaction and pass it between your wallets, but we never hold either card, and we are not a party to the swap. We do not value, guarantee or reverse swaps: once both wallets have signed and it lands on chain, it is final. Check every card before you sign (each one links to the explorer), and only swap with people you are happy to deal with. The network fee is paid by the player who accepts. We may refuse or close offers that look like abuse.

Privacy: what we collect and why

  • Your location, only when you tap Find me or claim: a short log of GPS readings with their accuracy. Used for the distance and travel checks. Stored with the claim; never shared or sold.
  • Motion readings during a claim, reduced on your phone to two numbers (how many readings, how much they varied). Used to tell a hand from an emulator.
  • A photo of the shop door for drop claims, shrunk and re-encoded on your phone (which strips its location metadata). Kept private for anti-cheat review; not shown publicly unless we tell you first.
  • Your wallet address and anything you sign, and any X handle you choose to add. These are public by nature: catches, payouts and the leaderboard show them.
  • Your network address, used once per claim to check your rough country, and for rate limits. Analytics never store it: they count visits with a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.
  • A random device code kept in your browser, used for the one-catch-per-phone rule.
  • Drop alerts: if you turn them on, your push subscription and a location rounded to about a kilometre.
  • The Pack Hunt wallet, if you make one, lives only in your browser. We never see or store its key. If you clear your browser data without backing it up, it is gone.

What we keep, and for how long

Claim records (place, time, wallet, card and transactions) are kept for as long as the game runs, because the proof page depends on them. GPS logs, motion summaries and door photos are kept for 90 days for review, then deleted. Analytics are kept for 90 days. Alert subscriptions are kept until you turn alerts off or your phone drops them. Our hosting is in the EU (Railway). Chain transactions are public and permanent; we cannot change them.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about your wallet or device, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your GPS logs, photos and alerts. We cannot delete on-chain history or records we must keep to prevent fraud. Contact us below.
